THE

PROBLEM

WITH DESPERATION

As I sit and consider the inane variations of social interpretation and factual action within society in the modern day, It strikes me as nothing less than amazing in the fact that desperation is very much a predominant and functioning area within the modern social atmosphere. In fact it could be said that it is required in some circles much like a precursor... perhaps a tag line, to every personality.

There are even those that could in no way function without some level of desperation in their lives. It is very much the prioritized social tool in many ways for them. It is how they function and interact. It is very much how they procure anything and just about everything they seem to have, regardless of how much of anything they already possess.

It could be said that certain aspects of the human species have progressed in such a manner that mandates desperation as if it were oxygen and any other form of sustenance. Desperation being much more than simply a mental ineficiency in those instances. In fact, it seems to have grown to a level that somehow connotes comfort.

If some people aren't desperate, they feel as though there is some impending danger. Something that isn't going right in their lives.

I personally wouldn't be so adverse to it, if it weren't that it now seems to be at a level where it is becoming a burden to the rest of society. As if for instance, those existing within such levels of desperation now seem to think that it is the desired path for human progress. As if everyone must be affiliated with said desperation in some way.

A large problem with this, is that for some reason those within this form of existence haven't entirely lost the idea and functionality of individualism, which then becomes problematic as the narcisism that usually accompanies such levels of desperation mandates that everyone acknowledge their desperation. The big hang up in this fact, is that there are so many "individual" perspectives of "deserve" and "desperation" that it then becomes impossible to address them all as individual aspects.

This then serves to displace the areas within society which are actually existing within certain levels of desperation. But of course, that doesn't matter to those facets which have managed to place themselves in considerable possitions of influence through use of being desperate... and further through maintaining the appearance of said desperation. All they want to do is maintain the "income" which has been dirived from posturing of desperation any way that they can.

This then even progresses into a result which begins to resemble a playground of sorts, though inverted in the most depraved way. A "desperation" contest insues where it seems that anything goes and usually does including the "procurement" of status and situations where one desperate individual might see oportunity to utilize the perceived, potential desperations of another. As if when someone is found that "should" be acting for sympathy, it is then reasoned that since they aren't, that said aspects ripe for such use, are then up for grabs to the biggest, meanest individual utilizing desperation and sympathy for their daily alotment of what ever it is they seek to procure. Like it is some continuing swap meet of sorts, where one persons perceived reasons for desperation are then available for anyone else to claim... and especially if they aren't using them to their fullest potentials.

Forbid it that anyone actually be efficient within their own existence to ANY degree. Regardless of whether it is simply personal interests or not.

Woe's and miseries to any having found even the smallest successes through any means other than displayed desperations.

I find a rather amusing contradiction within this dynamic being that somehow, within the justifications and reasoning. Within the consistencies of their inconsistencies. "Deserve" only seems to apply to each individual, individually. And, in the cases of "procured" reason for perceived desperation, such desperation and deserved status is considered ficticious UNTIL the individual desiring the perceived aspects to be used for desperate procurement, feels comfortable in having gained "possession" of said reasons for reward due to desperate situations.

In fewer words, even the most desperate situation "doesn't count" if it will gain for someone else. It only "counts" if and when the individual seeking such status and recognition, then has perceived possession of "it."

Again, this displays a problematic area within the "deserve" to be seen as "more desperate" and consequencially, more "deserving" than another, as it is still racked with "individual" concerns.

Society has progressed to a level of comfort where it is that such things actual transpire within even the most dedicated areas meant to combat desperate levels of existence. In many instances, the removal of desperation through bettering existence has actually caused more desperation for those who thrive entirely on that which provides for the relief of desperation.

It essentially makes those who are desperate, and particularly those who compete for said positions in desperation, all the more desperate when it is that they are actually assisted.

You may think that would be right up their alley so to speak, in the fact that it seems to promote more desperation. Such would stand to reason unless one is at least vaguely familiar with the more intricate aspects of such desperate dynamics.

Such desperation as is promoted through the removal of dire situations... and thus their "excuse," is not sought after. It is a form of desperation which is far beyond their own control, which of course is then seen as inhumane in removing their individual control over their own lives.

This then brings another aspect within the depraved levels of society regardless of monetary income, being that a person, no matter how much they have transgressed against another, will demand to have their personal control over their own lives. Even when all that it means is that they can wake up in the morning and choose what to complain about being wrong with their lives. Even further and especially when it is one of those situations where the perceived reason to be seen as desperate, has been procured from someone else that, coincidentally is no longer getting the benefits from their own, very real situation in need.

There is a very similar social aspect related to this which transpires with the "professional" realm. Resume's and work history being the primary targets of many ploys.

It is non too uncommon for the achievements and credibility of one individual, to be transfered to another much in the same interests as per the desperation reasonings. It seems to stem from a sort of desperation which exists and has been produced from the very highest edges of the initial forms of desperation and those reasons NOT to remove the desperations to begin with. It looks as though those maintained reasons for perceived desperation are rather commonly used in justifying the procurment of said credibilities and achievements as well.

Another contradiction in this activity, is that it doesn't seem to effect the perceived level and desering status of the individuals which procure the credibility. Even after said individuals have seemingly successfuly benefited from another persons credibility, they still some how retain their initial and most dire in perception, levels of desperation.

This even when it may be that the individual having been targeted for their achievements and credibility was themselves, far more "deserving" within even the standards of the desperate dynamic, than those having put forward the efforts to procure said achievements and credibility.

Further as per the results of this action, it is then expected to produce more forms of desperation within the targeted individual, which are then again procured by those claiming to have been far more desperate and deserving.

It seems to be quite common, and even more so common is the aspect of applying said desperation to doing anything a person can in avoiding productivity.

Productivity seems very much to be the "stake in the heart" for those so desperate to maintain both the benefits of someone elses achievements and credibility AND the perceived desperation which is assumed to have justified their actions to begin with.

Productivity is definitely a bad thing within those circles of dispair.

Oddly enough, even if productivity were again to be present in the individual having been targeted for their previous achievements and credibility, it seems to be a drastic and unwanted effect upon those existing purely of desperation, though now predominantly only in those forms of it which they themselves have produced in their ploys.

Strangley enough, this is even seen as some form of "equality" by some. Usually those that have managed to find a way to maintain their own levels of desperation while benefiting from the achievements of others.

Further in this incredibly mutated human direction, is the developing aspects of likening it to being some form of royalty. As if finding ones self having been successful in the procurement of achievements of others, then has mutated into some right to a soceriegn rule.

All while maintaining a superior presence of perceived desperation among their peers and those they see as being the "referee" so to speak.

This social tendency is even at a level where very organized efforts in creating both justification for said procurements and perceived desperation, have become a consistent social grouping themselves.

All while maintaining, and retaining the procured benefits of various forms of desperation.

Personally, If I had the power to do so, I might find myself selecting the largest examples of this desperation for the purpose of very high profile public exposure... but only if it could not be seen as removing from their desperation and level of deserving something.. and especially not if it meant some form of personal responsibility.

In short, I would seek to place them in a possition to make big decisions, benefit from the past successful decision making of someone else... but have no danger of being exposed to the ramifications of those decisions, and all while maintaining the level of desperation perceived which seems to justify the deserved placement in such a position, to begin with.

As far as I can see, in the direction and motion of modern society... we have got to come up with some way in which to preserve the benefit of being seen as desperate. More importantly we must find some way to preserve desperation itself, but without endangering it through being seen as somehow productive in being successful there-in.

It may prove to be one of the more vexing contradictions which humans have produced, even becoming a perceived paradox to many; How to preserve desperation without being successful in doing so?

If we as a society are "successful" in preserving desperation, then we lose much of the use in that desperation since productivity and "success" are an immediate antidote to the efficiency of desperation.

If we as a society fail to preserve adaquate levels of desperation, then we entirely lose the benefit of desperation within all of those uses and aplications.

It is quite the problematic area and one which only the most brilliant minds of our modern day are qualified to address.

It is simply that sensitive and must be handled with great care if it is that such forms of desperate existence are to continue... even more so, dominate the social and productive atmosphere of modern human existence.

Such is seemingly the biggest problem with desperation.
