Before it is that anyone begin to assume I mean to suggest that society is stupid, I will point out that in fact, my opinion is to the contrary...but further, not in the usual way that a person might expect.
I do not think that society is too smart to accommodate lame ploys for instance, which can be observed almost everyday in any form of media.
I do think that society is becoming too smart to actually enjoy what it is that we live within.
All you can hear sometimes is people complaining about how complicated life is these days.
How "fast" it is going.
How this and that - doesn't seem to measure up to expectations and further seems always to interfere with what ever is deemed important at the moment, to those leveling such complaints.
I think we should all elect to begin the introduction of STUPID POWDER into the public water systems, and then further into the bottled water varieties which can be found in any grocery store. If only to re-establish some area where it is that life can simply be enjoyed without so many noted concerns... which seem only to ruin it.
If a person considers it, within the consistency and automation of modern society, there would be little if any detrimental effects from such a self medication sort of ploy. If everything were dumbed down at the same time through such introduced means, then everything would stay rather consistent - but become far less of the many things which seem to plague it in those everyday complaints.
EVERYONE WOULD BE AS DUMB AS THE NEXT GUY!
More so, everyone would probably find themselves re-positioned on the scale of dumb in accordance with their previous level of intellect - which further then stands as reasoning to the equal effect within our modern consistencies that introducing STUPID POWDER would incite.
What is better about this, is through that dumbing down we potentially would lose the capacity to worry about being smart or dumb in the degree that such occupies our every day.
We would all simply be more readily entertained with far less in the way of complications. And besides when you think about it, there are no stupid children in the eyes of their mothers. This would simply be enhanced without the need of a mother present and would extend far into adult hood as well.
I began to consider the STUPID POWDER option, as I realized that society is very much becoming too smart - but again, in ways that aren't normally considered. It is as though there is this outward boundary that we have managed to cross with the speed and efficiency of modern living, but are as of yet un-prepared as creatures to handle it. It just sits out there and frazzles and taunts and teases us in our incapacity through our higher intellect... which then results in various forms of un-needed desperation's. One of which is that old tried and true from the locker room about even looking smarter than the meat head guy.....let's face it, some people can simply dress in ways that make them look smarter than the meat head guy - even if he does run a communications firm or a software company or has a T.V. show.
Who needs that crap?
If we all dumbed down, maybe we could actually catch up to ourselves?
Maybe we wouldn't worry about who or what is smarter... or seen as smarter... which usually only equates to something being recognized as more complex somehow (even in the stretch of imaginations) than some other example... which itself, is in no way a pleasurable form of existence.
How is it that within all of the ease of living, we have managed to choose to complicate every little nuance of existence in the effort to LOOK as though it were a substantial experience within existence that is of the complications we insist upon?
STUPID POWDER, I say.
It really may be our only hope.
