Look! There's A Wedding Dress Sale!
I HEAR IT IS AN INTERNATIONAL STANDARD?
I had been in Boston for almost two years I suppose.
I think it is definitely something for everyone to witness at least once, though I hear it is now being discontinued for some reason. Probably some public safety concerns......
The display I am referring to, is (was, rather) an annual sale at a wedding dress shop that consistently brought a show many people would actually pay to watch. Piracy in recorded human history can hardly compare. The sociological aspects being displayed can raise the hair on the back of your neck.
It is a frenzy that anyone could see would quickly be the end to any civilized social structure if it were in fact any sort of higher commonality and standard beyond the annual display of conditioned human reasoning and behavior.
It was hard to believe when I actually heard someone refer to it as some sort of international standard of rule in social reasoning. But, it is that such was actually asserted to one degree or another. As if even, such were justifiably so.
The frenzy around the annual wedding dress sale isn't necessarily the worst part in my mind... it is to be expected to some degree within the conditioned, consumer mentality of our modern society... even in considering the gross contradictions within it regarding the institution of marriage these days.
I believe the worst part of the conditioned aspects of it, are very much the continued ideas being promoted that it is some sort of international standard of social structure... something in fact, that all else should make way for in a consistent manner beyond the annual display of human tendencies.
I simply refuse to believe that any society having progressed to the level of actually accommodating even an annual display of the sort, could ever actually function being based upon such insanity as a normal standard of rule.
Sure, it is fun and games to watch as young ladies bent on scoring the greatest deal ever concerning wedding gowns, go at each other in a Battle Royal sort of way - to the point even at times a person has to wonder if medical personnel aren't consistently just out of the camera frame in the event of serious damage, not only to one another but perhaps to the structural foundation of the building itself, and thus creating a human catastrophe necessitating immediate medical attention. BUT.... and it must be a big BUT here.... there is no human reasoning on the planet that could seriously believe such to be a consistent standard on the international scene... much less within any livable atmosphere.
Such is entirely consumer based. Even in the degree of presenting it in such a manner. Not to mention, the decision making within such is far less than anything based in consideration much less social development. Regardless of the reasons presented for justifying it beyond a wedding dress sale.
Realizing that most marriages end in divorce anyhow... I can't really see what it is that they are getting over on, anyway.
Maybe the lawyers actually sponsor it? Observing basic statistics regarding marriage... it is easy to see how they could afford such even as a promotional direction in further promoting hasty unions... thus facilitating even more short lived legal arrangements such as modern marriage.
I don't see why they just don't punch themselves in the face... sue themselves and call it a day.
In other considerations... even though it is a huge mess of a consistency... it is still a consistency all the same. No more consistent though than would be simply suing their face for letting their fist punch it.
